【Purpose/significance】The development and application of big data technologies have made big data governance a hot re⁃

search topic in academia. Visual mapping provides a visual overview of the research and frontiers in the field.【Method/process】For the literature related to the field of big data governance included in CSSCI journals in CNKI database, CiteSpace, a bibliometric informa⁃tion visualization software, was used to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis in terms of general overview, research institutions,journal sources, research hotspots and development trends.【Result/conclusion】The results show that the hot topics of research in this area cover three aspects: the basic concepts of big data governance, the management of big data, and big data governance applications.The research is rich and evolving and innovative, and there will be significant development space in the future.【Innovation/limitation】With the help of visual bibliometric tools, the research status and development trend of big data governance were systematically sorted out, and the future development suggestions were put forward.
