| Abstract The hedgerow on slope farmland is a protection tillage and sustainable landuse technique.The hedgerow technique could improve the soil physical texture and soil chemical nutrients,reduce soil erosion and land degradation,even improve the crop growth,increase crop production,and offer forage and firewood.The ecological and economic benefits of hedgerow are systemic introduced.At the same time,the problems and further research work on hedgerow are discussed briefly and some suggestions are put forward,aiming to promote the development of hedgerow technique for the future in China. |
