Abstract Based on the analysis of types,components,land occupation,production technology,earthwork and waste involved in power projects,the characteristics of soil erosion and water loss during the construction is shown.Considering the development planning,national policies and industrial distribution related to power industry,a total of 50 permitted requirements of soil and water conservation for power projects including restricting and delaying are put forward.According to the technical specifications and the provisions of the new national standard of soil and water conservation,11 items of permitted requirements of soil and water conservation for main-building design revision and 7 items of permitted requirements of soil and water conservation for soil and water conservation plan revision are put forward.
