Abstract The land occupation of water transport-related constraction projects,such as port,shipside,indenpendent bridge,tunnel,sea wall etc.,is mostly permanent,which is completely changed intrinsic function of land.Water transport-related construction projects destroy environment and led to a lot of soil and water losses.The projects need a large number of excavations and filling of earth and stonework in the construction.A lot of sand and debris are poured into rivers or lakes directly.According to China's relevant laws and regulations,policies,plans,standards and other regulations,considering the characteristics of water transport-related projects,permitted requirements both of soil and water conservation measures,and the soil and water conservation plan are discussed.
